Andreas Laupacis in 2022 Andreas Laupacis is a Canadian physician, researcher, and administrator specializing in health services research, palliative care, and health policy. He is recognized for his contributions to evidence‐based medicine and for fostering public engagement in health care. He has served as the executive director of the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital (Toronto), where he also directed the Keenan Research Centre — a hub for innovative research in clinical epidemiology and health policy. He is a professor in the Department of Medicine and the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. His career includes leadership roles such as serving as the inaugural President and CEO of the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (IC/ES) and directing the Clinical Epidemiology Unit at the Loeb Health Research Institute at Ottawa Civic Hospital.
