Carlo Catassi (born April 19, 1953) is an Italian gastroenterologist, epidemiologist and a researcher, known for international studies on the epidemiology of celiac disease. Currently, he is the Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Università Politecnica delle Marche in Ancona, Italy, and a Visiting Scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, United States. From 2013 to 2016, he served as the President of the Italian Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (SIGENP).
