Roberto Baronio (; born 11 December 1977) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder.He played in the position of deep-lying playmaker, where excelled due to his technical ability, vision, passing, and physical attributes, despite his lack of pace; he also possessed an accurate shot from distance and he was an accurate set-piece taker.
