Golden in 2021 Sherita Hill Golden is an American physician-scientist who is the Hugh P. McCormick Family Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Johns Hopkins University. She holds joint appointments in the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology, and Clinical Research, in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, and in the Center for Health Equity. Her research considers biological and systems influences on diabetes and its outcomes. From 2015-2019, she served as the inaugural executive vice-chair of the department of medicine and from 2019-2024, she served as the vice president and chief diversity officer for Johns Hopkins Medicine.
