She is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 96th Assembly district since 2025. She previously served as a member of the La Crosse County board of supervisors, from 2000 to 2020, and was the first female chairperson of the county board, holding that office from 2011 to 2020.
