Yazdi Italia

Yazdi Maneksha Italia is an Indian doctor and scientist. He was the Director of the sickle cell anemia control program of the Government of Gujarat. He was a co-investigator in several ICMR research projects.

He led the establishment of a sickle cell anemia control program in 2006, under then Chief Minister Narendra Modi. In 2011, he received the Prime Minister's Award under Manmohan Singh. In 2023, the Government of Gujarat awarded him the Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's award and the Padma Shri in 2024. Provided by Wikipedia
