The extreme relevance and timeliness of this book [...] becomes evident when we consider Theodor Adorno's warning about the persistence of the objective conditions that generate fascism, even within democratic societies. [...] The reader will have no difficulty in recognizing the extreme relevance of this book [...], as its reflection reflects problems that are not part of an overcome historical past, but reverberate in current Brazilian society, under the impetus of the catastrophe ethical and social represented by recent Bolsonarism. It is relevant to note that the beginning of the doctoral research that originated the present work dates from the year 2017, a time when the serpent's egg was being slowly gestated, trans- appearing in the morally pernicious mentality of the "School without Party" movement. [...] One of the great merits of the reflection presented in this book is to demystify the public repulsion for the sphere of politics, which in itself integrates the set of fascist syndrome symptoms. Contrary to the mentality of refusing politics, the author emphasizes the urgency of an authentic and autonomous politicization of the sphere of power, so that a potentially public exercise becomes possible. resistant to the spread of barbarism. A extrema relevância e atualidade deste livro [...] se torna evidente quando consideramos a advertência de Theodor Adorno sobre a persistência das condições objetivas geradoras do fascismo, mesmo no interior de sociedades democráticas. [...] O leitor não terá dificuldade em reconhecer a extrema atualidade deste livro[...], pois sua reflexão repercute problemas que não fazem parte de um passado histórico superado, mas reverberam na sociedade brasileira atual, sob o impulso da catástrofe ética e social representada pelo bolsonarismo recente. É relevante notar que o início da pesquisa de doutorado que originou a presente obra, data do ano de 2017, época em que o ovo da serpente estava sendo lentamente gestado, trans- parecendo na mentalidade moralmente perniciosa do movimento "Escola sem partido". [...] Um dos grandes méritos da reflexão exposta neste livro consiste em desmistificar a repulsa pública pela esfera da política, que em si mesma integra o conjunto de sintomas da síndrome fascista. Ao contrário da mentalidade de recusa da política, o autor realça a urgência de uma politização autêntica e autônoma da esfera do poder, para que se torne possível um exercício público potencialmente resistente à disseminação da barbárie. [...] Hannah Arendt [...] nos lembra que "política" é a esfera do debate público entre diferentes, movido pela perspectiva de um mundo comum. A verdadeira política se traduz no exercício da liberdade potencialmente voltada para o rompimento do estado de exceção que na realidade atual silencia o debate público e massacra todos aqueles que representam a diferença. [...] O fascista [...] não deseja conservar nada, pois seu desejo, reprimido, ou muitas vezes declarado, se dirige à destruição de tudo aquilo que for possível, desde a vida das pessoas que existem à margem da normalidade social, até as próprias instituições democráticas. [...] Em sintonia com as reflexões de Theodor Adorno, Hannah Arendt, e outros pensadores voltados para a crítica do fascismo, [...] para entender o que é a educação, nesta obra, devemos nos afastar dos aspectos instrumentais muito presentes na escola, buscando compreender esse termo como sinônimo de formação do espírito, em sentido contrário à barbárie.
