Compared to the traditional radio frequency wireless communications (RFWC), VLC has many advantages, such as worldwide availability, high security, large bandwidth, immunity to radio frequency interference, and unlicensed spectrum. Due to its superiority, VLC has become a complementary solution to the overcrowded RFWC.
