Summary:Previous oral and dental epidemiological researches have shown the increasing prevalence of dental caries and periodontal disease. Utilization of Dental Health Services in Public Health Centers (Puskesmas) and General Hospitals has not been optimised yet. To determine whether insufficient knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) in community dental health is one of the contributing factors to the poor condition of community dental health, and to find the most rustable media for prodding information for community dental health education are the objectives of the study. With a cross sectional study, 400 respondents selected consist of the factory labor workers in Tangerang, teachers, and parents of elementary school students, and also students of the Faculty of Public Health. Interviews was undimmed using questionnaires. The respondents are dunned equally into 4 groups with 100 respondents. The result shows that the level of knowledge about dental health is inadequate, and the respondents' attitude and practice toward dental health are still unsatisfactory. All most all respondent get the information from media, like newspaper, radio, television. It is recommended that the community dental health education must be carried out with the experts in health communication, information and education, and using all the forms of information media.
