| Summary: | This study examined the inclusion of some global issues in the social studies textbooks (grades 3 - 12) in the sultanate of Oman. The population of study included all (14) social studies textbooks from grade 3 to 12. The textbooks were analyzed using an "analysis check list" which included six global issues, i.e. economical issues, issues of developing countries, political issues, natural disaster, environmental issues, 8 population issues. The results showed that social studies textbooks included five global issues; political issues were not included. Besides, inclusion of these issues Varied within different grades. |
