Abstract Psychiatric intensive care unit nurses are in a limited environment that allows nurses close to patients to be able to observe the client's condition and evaluate the treatment and medical actions taken. If the nurse is not prepared with this condition, it can cause tension to the nurse which results in stress. One of the tasks of mental nurses is the handling of violent behavior (aggressive), the poor perception of nurses makes work stress (Muhith, 2015) This study aims to the relationship between Patient Violence Behavior with Stress on nurses in Intensive Psychiatry Care Unit (IPCU) RS Dr.Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. This research design use cross sectional approach. The population of this study is 40 people, with a sample of 28 people, is simple random sampling. The independent variable is Patient's Violence Behavior, while the dependent variable is Stress the questioner. Data analysis using Spearman correlation test. Spearman correlation test results obtained r= 0.738 p = 0.000 (p <0,05), it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the behavior of patient's hardness with stress on the nurses in Intensive Psychiatry Care Unit (IPCU) RS Dr.Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. Based on these results it is concluded that patients violence behavior in Intensive Psychiatry Care Unit (IPCU) RS Dr.Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang most of is high category, whereas most nurses experience moderate stress.Thus the hospital can create a comfortable and safe atmosphere for patients and nurses who work, so that stressful events can be minimized and well managed. Keywords: patient's violence behavior, nurse stress ABSTRAK Perawat psikiatri intensive care unit berada dalam lingkungan yang terbatas yang memungkinkan perawat dekat dengan pasien untuk dapat mengobservasi kondisi klien dan mengevaluasi tindakan perawatan maupun tindakan medis yang dilakukan. Jika perawat tidak siap dengan kondisi tersebut akan dapat menimbulkan ketegangan pada perawat yang berakibat stres. Salah satu tugas perawat jiwa adalah penanganan perilaku kekerasan (agresif), persepsi yang buruk perawat menjadikan stres kerja (Muhith, 2015). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara Perilaku Kekerasan Pasien dengan Stres pada perawat di Intensive Psychiatry Care Unit (IPCU) RS Dr.Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. Desain penelitian cross sectional. Populasi sejumlah 40 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 28 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Variabel bebasnya adalah Perilaku Kekerasan Pasien, sedangkan variabel tergantungnya adalah Stres. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesoner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa Perilaku kekerasan pasien di Intensive Psychiatry Care Unit (IPCU) RS Dr.Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang sebagian besar dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan sebagian besar Perawat mengalami stress yang sedang. Dengan demikian diharapkan pihak rumah sakit dapat menciptakan suasana yang nyaman dan aman baik bagi pasien maupun perawat yang bekerja, sehingga kejadian stres bisa diminimalkan dan dikelola dengan baik.
