Additionally, it has supplemental educational materials for instructors to provide their students. We included extensive preparatory material to help the instructor prepare the environment and learners. The debriefing tools, to assist the instructor in their teaching, have been tailored specifically for this scenario with the addition of advice on how the instructor can tailor them to different learners. This course will help support standardization of the teaching process, helping simulation instructors maximize their impact. Supplemental learner handouts can help reinforce the teaching points even after the session has finished. The inclusion of a learner feedback form supports the instructor's ongoing growth while helping faculty to document their teaching efforts. This is the most comprehensive collection of educational material available for this topic. This scenario is one component of a larger course: the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Simulation Curriculum. Exposure to multiple scenarios within the curriculum fosters reinforcement of recurring learning objectives (e.g., closed loop communication) over time.
