Summary: | At a time when individuals are called upon to fight for their recognition (Honneth, 2000), which can only « bring about experience of contempt and humiliation that cannot be without consequences for the formation of the individual identity » (Honneth, 2004), should we not consider that everything can be an event, and this, in the light of the processes of subjectivization? Opening up to the non-event involves taking into account its tellability and going beyond self-imposed boundaries, which requires an awareness that leads to a consideration of every single story, sometimes deliberately ignored or glossed over. The passage from non-event to event, i.e. from passive to active insecurity, could therefore be considered via statements with a parresiastic value, corollaries of risk-taking, characteristic of hypocorrection phenomena, revealing the emergence of a parresiastic subject. |
