CLINICAL-TECHNOLOGICAL REQUIREMENTS IN THE REHABILITATION OF PARTIALLY EXTENDED EDENTULOUSNESS COMPLICATIONS

The consequences of edentulousness are followed by major complications on the dental support, bone and temporomandibular joint, so the rehabilitation of partial edentulousness will aim at restoring the harmony of the entire stomatognathic system. The aim of this study is to individualize the correlative aspects between the particularity of the clinical case, characterized by the complications of partially extended edentulousness, and the therapeutic approach in the light of the final clinical success in terms of aesthetic and functional requirements.The analyzed group was represented by 25 patients who reported to the Clinical Teaching Facility of the Faculty of Dentistry diagnosed with partially extended edentulousness, the final therapeutic solutions being anchored in the territory of fixed metal-ceramic prostheses, flexible prostheses, different types of skeletal prostheses using special elements for maintenance, support, and stabilization, as well as in the territory of fully removable prostheses. The type of prosthodontic treatment is fully in line with the particularity of the prosthetic field, the presence or absence of specific prosthodontic training in conjunction with the manner of aesthetic restoration by individualized modelling decisively influences the final results.
