Description
Summary:Summary . The search for new effective and low-toxic pharmacologically active substances which develop the vasotropic action, is an actual scientific direction. One of these compounds, which has the vasodilator effect by the results of previous studies, is a new synthesized OCP-1 (oxazole containing peptidomimetics), but data regarding its toxicity none. Purpose - to determine the acute toxicity of OCP-1. The experiment was performed using an express method "limit test". To determine the acute toxicity it was taken 11 females and 11 males nonlinear white mice. Oxazole containing peptidomimetics administered at a dose of 5000 mg/kg intragastric. Given the fact that studied physiologically active compound is insoluble in the recommended solvents it was used alternative organic solvent -  dimethyl sulfoxide. By the results of research LD50 of OCP-1 for males and females is more than 5000 mg/kg by intragastric administration, this compound can be attributed to the V class of toxicity "practically non-toxic compounds."
