To achieve this goal, we comment briefly some aspects of demographic transition and what some scholars call window of opportunity. Then we discuss the evolution ofthe Brazilian age structure from the dependency ratio and its perspectives, emphasizing the process of population aging. Later, one evaluates about the evolution of enrollment and the education system in Brazil, and then discuss some prospects for development in view of schooling.
