Among them, girls with disabilities and indigenous children with disabilities are subject to multiple forms of discrimination. It is estimated that seven out of ten children with disabilities do not attend school, and that at least 50 000 children and adolescents with disabilities are deprived of their family environment and live in residential institutions, representing 20% of all children living in residential care in our region.
