Data collection occurred during the second semester of 2013, through structured interviews. Data were analyzed using the method of content analysis. Results: the following categories emerged: Birth expectation: to be born at term, Approach of the mother with the baby, Feeling more like a mom and When I got home. Conclusion: the maternal feelings are closely related to the degree of knowledge and adaptability of the mother. It is a concern of the health professionals to provide information and support in an individualized manner, respecting the history of each mother and her family | ||
