Summary: | Purpose. The aim of this work is to show the capabilities of late gadolinium enhancement cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of a rare disease such as cardiac amyloidosis. Materials and methods. Demonstration of clinical cases detecting cardiac amyloidosis using MRI. Results. Contrast-enhanced cardiac MRI revealed patterns characteristic of cardiac amyloidosis. Conclusion. Cardiac MRI with late gadloinium enhancement is the method of choice in the diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis. |
