520 | |a This research purposes to describe scientific instruction using manipulative media to improve student's conceptual understanding on addition and substraction of integers. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results showed that through observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating stages of scientific instruction can improve student's understanding of mathematical concepts by 8.6% and the thoroughness of learning outcomes by 11.11% thereafter two cycles. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pembelajaran saintifik berbantuan media manipulatif yang dapat memahamkan konsep penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui pembelajaran saintifik dengan tahapan-tahapan mengamati, menanya, mencoba, menalar, dan mengomunikasikan diperoleh hasil peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sebesar 8,6% dan ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 11,11% setelah dilaksanakan dua siklus. | ||
