The simulator and PowerPoint slide show are run simultaneously, using the slide show to introduce each new case, then the next several slides to reinforce the material discussed and summarize the scenario. This package was created at the request of the respiratory physiology section director as a way to incorporate simulation into the curriculum and to reinforce material learned in the classroom. It has been well received for more than 10 years and continues to be incorporated in the curriculum despite a reduction in time allotted to the physiology section. It remains one of the best-evaluated workshops of each first-year class. | ||
