Description
Summary:Background and Objective: Today, there is a growing trend towards e-learning, and on the other hand, the use of workshop teaching methods is still considered. The aim of this study was to determine the comparison of the effect of e-learning and workshop methods on the rate of learning to care for patients with cardiac dysrhythmias in nursing students. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental study of two groups of pre-test   and post-test that was performed on 60 undergraduate nursing students of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences in 1398. The data collection tool was a four-choice test. Pre-test and post-test were performed for both groups before and after training. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21 software using descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistical methods (analysis of covariance and independent two-group t-test). Significant level was considered 0.05 Findings: The mean and standard deviation of learning score in e-learning and workshop training groups were 11.29± 2 2.68 and 10.41±1.35 respectively. The results showed that both e-learning and workshop training are effective on students' learning, but no significant difference was found between the effect of web-based and workshop training methods on learning (P <0.05). Conclusion: E-learning is one of the basic needs of today's education at all levels and due to its advantages such as high flexibility and lack of time and space constraints, it can be used as a complementary method in academic education.
