Summary: | Communication is an important aspect in the nursing care toward a more qualified assistance. Thus,communication potentially contributes to promote the emotional care. This study aimed at reflecting the emotionalcare interfaces to the hospitalized client, in order to improve the quality of the nursing assistance. This reflectionarises from clients emotional problems observed in our daily professional routine and by consultation ofspecialized literature regarding emotional necessities of hospitalized subjects. In order to use the emotional care,nurses must be good listeners, examining with care and touching our clients, comforting and helping them torecover their self-esteem. We consider from our reflections that emotional care to the hospitalized client is crucialfor achieving a better quality of life, not only from the client, but also to the family. |
