| Summary: | <p>Recentul eveniment al primirii celui dintâi universitar din Republica Moldova în Galeria Internaţională a Educaţiei Continue şi a Adulţilor - International Adult and Continuing Education Halle of Fame, Oklahoma University, USA - constituie un prilej de evocare a rolului personalităţilor domeniului. Apelăm la exemplul oferit de pedagogul George Văideanu, subliniind importanţa operei sale în garantarea unităţii şi continuităţii în educaţie. Ne folosim de ideile grupate în <em>Educaţia la frontiera dintre milenii </em>(1988), dar şi de experienţa sa deosebită ca funcţionar superior UNESCO în perioada 1973-1980. Dorim să arătăm că<em> </em>relevanţa şi coerenţa educaţiei<em> </em>pot fi garantate de continuitatea acesteia, aşezată pe temeiul puternic al educaţiei iniţiale, pe tactul şi personalitatea profesorului bine pregătit, pe autoritatea educatorului susţinută de sistemul naţional de învăţământ. Articolul ne permite o prezentare a ideilor prin conexiuni cu acelea ale altor autori europeni şi internaţionali.</p><p><strong>CONTINUITY OF THE MILLENNIUM</strong></p><p>The recent event of including the first university member from the Republicof Moldovainto the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame, Oklahoma University, USAis an occasion to evoke the roles of the important personalities in the field. We make appeal to the example offered by the educationalist George Văideanu, by emphasizing the importance of his work in guaranteeing the unity and continuity in education. We use the ideas gathered in his paper <em>The education at the frontier between millennia </em>(1988), but also his extraordinary experience as UNESCO superior magistrate during 1973-1980. We aim at showing that the relevance and coherence of education can be guaranteed by its continuity, set on the strong fundament of the initial education, on the well trained teacher's tactfulness and personality, on the educator's authority supported by the national education system. The article allows us to present the ideas by connecting them to the perspectives of other European and international authors.</p> |
