Description
Summary:The most significant investigations concerning pathological dentinogenesis are reviewed in this article. Previous results point out that odontoblasts behave, either in physiological or pathological circumstances, in the genetically determined sequence of reactions dependind on the intensity of the irritation. Biochemical research has not yet succeed in getting to the heart of interaction processes. The therapy should be aimed at establishing biological interactions nessesary for normal dentinogenesis mainly by removing external irritations as fast as possible.
