Summary:A literature review on the aspects involved in making either a conventional or homeopathic medical record was carried out. Although both aim at collecting the objective data provided by the patient, as well as the subjective ones, obtained from the physical and complementary exams, they differ as for the symptoms used for the diagnosis, reason why it is convenient to supplement the approaches when evaluating the patient from the holistic point of view.
