Description
Summary:The study aimed to identify the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on achieving institutional excellence at private universities in Sana'a and the level of practicing this orientation and achieving institutional excellence. To achieve this, the researchers used the analytical descriptive method. A questionnaire was distributed to the study population (264), who were selected by the complete census method. The participants were university rectors, vice-rectors, deans, vice-deans, heads of academic departments and managers of administrative departments. The study results showed that the practice of entrepreneurial orientation was at a high level, the most available dimension being creativity and the least available being risk-taking. Further, the achieved institutional excellence was high, of which leadership dimension was more achieved, while the dimension of human resources was less achieved. It was found that entrepreneurial orientation increases institutional excellence in Yemeni private universities by increasing creativity, competitiveness, proactiveness and risk-taking. The study recommended increasing attention to all dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation as well as institutional excellence. In order to achieve high levels of performance, Yemeni private universities should include these two themes in their strategic objectives.
