Summary:With all the benefits of medical fitness, in patients with cardiovascular disease safety of exercises performed with weights require future studies. Given this consideration, this paper aims to show that exercises performed with a barbell-expander device request less cardiovascular system compared with those performed with barbell. The results show that in healthy subjects, exercises performed with barbell-expander device corresponding adjusted for risk of inducing ascent of blood pressure not increase systolic blood pressure as high that the exercises similar in execution maner and degree of request executed with barbell. However is present a moderate risk of increased heart rate. Some data suggests the potential of muscle growth as a result of exercise performed with this device.
