Summary:In the article there are presented the data about history of development of noninvasive electrophysiological research and its application in pediatrics. Indications and contraindications to transoesophageal pacing, stimulation modes are considered. Difficulties in differential diagnosis of sick sinus syndrome and vegetative dysfunction of sinoatrial node are presented in clinical observation of 15-year-old child, the value of transoesophageal pacing in diagnosis and choice of adequate treatment regimen is accentuated.
