Description
Summary:Vitello-intestinal ducts anomalies has been described extensively in literatures, however - a prolapsed vitello-intestinal duct with prolapsed ileum is extremely rare and might be challenging diagnostically. We describe a baby boy who was born with a reddish mass arising from the abdominal wall. He had early surgical correction, and the diagnosis was confirmed intra operatively. The vitello-intestinal duct was resected as well as some part of the edematous ileum, and ileal anastomosis was performed. He had uneventful recovery.
