Summary: | This article presents the results of an interpretive case study of a group of students in the English Basic V course from the Philology and Languages, English Bachelor's degree program at the Universidad Nacional. The study relates the analysis of students' sociolinguistic and strategic competences elicited through chat-based activities aimed at developing and practicing these two competences. It can be useful for teachers of English as a pedagogical resource to practice communicative skills with students in an innovative way and for researchers investigating the development of different English communicative competences in a ludic way using online chat. |
