Its clinical manifestations are complex and diverse, and almost all organs of the whole body can be affected. The process of immune response to treponema pallidum is very complex, and innate immunity, cellular immunity and humoral immunity all participate in this process. The mechanisms of immune escape of treponema pallidum are not clear yet. The studies on the immune response and mechanisms of immune escape in treponema pallidum infection can lay a foundation for further clarification of the pathogenesis of syphilis and the development of vaccine. This paper reviews the research progress in syphilis immunity.
