Summary:The article deals with modern theories of the pathogenesis of dysmenorrhea. A special place is given to prostaglandin, an anti-prostaglandin theory. As a therapy for dysmenorrhea, the group of prostaglandin-synthetase inhibitors is considered in detail. The article presents the results of our own study of the clinical efficacy of ketoprofen lysine salt in 50 patients diagnosed with primary dysmenorrhea.
