Summary:Trichobezoars are characterized as a mass of matted hair retained in the stomach. Rapunzel syndrome is characterized by a gastric trichobezoar extending beyond the pylorus and most often presents with symptoms of intestinal obstruction including abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting.
