Summary:Introduction: A range of direct adhesive restorative materials are available in the market and can be used for filling primary molars by Pediatric Dentistry. Objective: The aim of this study was to review in the dental literature the main properties of many direct resin based restorative materials and associates them with their clinical performance, in order to better understand their clinical behaviour. Conclusion: Considering this review of dental literature, the selection of direct adhesive restorative materials should based on the knowledge of them, in order to improve the life span of these restorations.
