Persistent AF was associated with increased emotional discomfort, manifested through anxious or depressive symptomatology, symptomatology intensified during AF episodes.1 Lioni L et al (2014) showed that the level of anxiety is much higher in patients with AF compared to patients with other supraventricular rhythm disorders. The presence of anxiety in arrhythmic patients is associated with higher severity of AF symptomatology and recurrence. |
