The objective of this study was to develop a structural model for the relationship between happiness based on psychological well-being with intermediary role of self-efficacy among students at Farhangian University. Materials and Methods: This study was correlational using structural relations modeling Method. The statistical population of the study included all undergraduate students at Farhangian University of Golestan Province who were studying in 2017-2018 academic year. As many as 280 participants were selected using one-stage cluster sampling. To collect data, questionnaires of happiness, psychological well-being and self-efficacy were used. For analysis of the research data, Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling were employed using SPSS-22 and AMOS-22 software. Results: The mean (SD) age of male students was 26.4 (7.8) and female students 25.8 (6.5). With increasing happiness score with mean (SD) 52.6 (7.3), psychological well-being score increased with mean (SD) 246.8 (27.3), P<0.05. With increasing happiness score, self-efficacy score increased with mean (SD) 30.1 (9.9), P<0.05. In addition, with increasing self-efficacy score, psychological well-being score increased, P<0.05. Self-efficacy played a mediating role in the relationship between psychological well-being and happiness, and psychological well-being score increased with the direct effect of happiness on self-efficacy. Conclusion: The study showed that increasing happiness improved psychological well-being and self-efficacy. Self-efficacy also increased psychological well-being. In addition, self-efficacy had a mediator role in the relationship between psychological well-being and happiness and psychological well-being score increased with the direct effect of happiness on self-efficacy.
