Summary: | Xanthoma Disseminatum is a rare, benign, normolipaemic form of histiocytoxanthomatosis affecting the skin and mucous membranes and known to be associated with diabetes insipidus, multiple myeloma or other paraproteinaemias. We report a case of Type II diabetes mellitus presenting with progressive xanthoma disseminatum and laryngeal obstruction, although diabetes mellitus is known to be associated with hyperlipidaemic eruption xanthoma and some of the non-Langerhans cell histiocytoses. |
