Description
Summary:This study investigated the extent of career awareness among tenth grade students from the schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education in Al-Shobak district. The researchers used a descriptive method. The sample of the study consisted of male and female tenth grade students (n=187). The instrument of the study was a list for career awareness that consisted of (5) domains (tendencies, abilities, and values; independence, attention, flexibility, and trend towards work) with a total of (60) items, applied on all the population of the study. The results showed that the students̕ extent of career awareness was medium (2.65) on four domains (Tendencies, abilities, and values, independence, attention, and flexibility), while it was low for the fifth domain (trend towards work). The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of Significance (α = 0.05) between the means of career awareness attributed to the gender (male), and to the students̕ grand average (90-99). The researchers recommended holding training programs to develop students' career awareness.
