Summary:The text recovers the climate of cooperation and solidarity, institutional experiences, projects and realizations from the 1980s, underlining the opening that constitutional recovery meant in the post-dictatorship period. It refers to the relations between the State, society and education in the "new times" opened in the nineties after the acceptance of the recommendations of the World Bank for the region and the country. It considers the objective conditions for the development of educational policy as a field of research and training of researchers as well as the emerging limitations of the theoretical and methodological conceptions adopted by many researchers. Finally, it formulates a set of questions, proposed as political educational issues that need to be studied for the achievement of an effective democratization of education.
