Description
Summary:This article addresses the use of sensory books and possibilities in the educational development process of students with visual impairments. We aim to understand the contributions that sensory books can provide to the teaching process of these people. The article has a qualitative documentary approach as methodology. To theoretically base our questioning, we expose authors who comment on basic guidelines for the elaboration and application of sensory books, in sequence we expose a sensory book elaborated by the authors. At the conclusion of the study, we inferred about the possibilities of activities that can be worked on by the teacher through the sensory book, enabling the development of the visually impaired student.
