Description
Summary:An avulsed permanent tooth is one of the few real time dental emergencies, wherein a potential unscheduled diagnostic and treatment decision outside the regular practice experience of the dentist awaits him. Prognosis is dependent on the decisions taken in the "Golden Hour" aftermath the accident. Reimplantation is the treatment of choice as there are chances of successfully saving a tooth. The condition is compounded by the lack of public awareness and the presence of a proper avulsion management protocol that has been tested by prospective longitudinal studies. This article discusses an unusual case of total replacement resorption along with a comprehensive review of the etiology, pathology, clinical features, and the management of the condition.
