Penelitian ini menerapkan metode pembelajaran (TPS) dengan maksud memberi<br />kesempatan kepada siswa untuk berpikir dan merespon, membantu satu sama lain, sehingga setiap siswa dapat<br />mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir, pemecahan masalah, dan ketrampilan sosialnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk<br />meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran TPS dengan desain PTK dalam tiga<br />siklus. Data diambil dengan lembar observasi dan LKS untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dan tes hasil belajar untuk mengetahui<br />pemahaman materi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelas tiap siklus, persentase ketuntasan<br />klasikal pada aktivitas dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Siswa merasa senang dan menikmati pembelajaran bermetode TPS.<br />Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode TPS dalam pembelajaran IPA Fisika mampu meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar<br />siswa.</p><p> </p><p>The preliminary observation on the physics learning process in one of the secondary schools in Pekalongan District shows that the<br />learning process is just mechanics instruction and give no more attention on the thinking ability, so that the students to be passive<br />and students learning achievement are low. In this research, we applied Think-Pair-Share method. This method is selected to give<br />opprtunity for students to think, to respond, and to cooperate, so that each student can develop their capabilities in thinking, solving<br />the problems as well as improve their social skills. The goal of this research is to improve the students' activities in learning process<br />which have a good impact on the students' achievements by applying TPS learning method and in three cycles of action research<br />design. Data were gathered from observations and students worksheets to explore their activities during learning process and from<br />cognitive test results to know their understanding of sounds concepts. The analysis results show that there is a significant<br />improvement of students' activities and their achievements in every cycle. The students feel happy and enjoy the class. It can be<br />concluded that the implementation ofTPS learning method in learning phyics increase students' activities and their achievements.</p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: student’s achievements; sounds;Think-Pair-Share</p>
