| Summary: | A lymphangioma is an uncommon benign tumor that most frequently occurs in children's heads and necks and, rarely, in the abdomen. Herein, we discuss the case of a 2-year-old child who has a palpable mass but no other symptoms or signs. The CT scan revealed a large cyst that completely filled the left side of the abdomen, pushing the bowls to the other side. This cyst was surgically removed via laparotomy, and histology examination confirmed that it was a lymphangioma cyst. To our knowledge, about 200 cases of mesenteric lymphangioma have been reported in the English literature. |
