Summary: | Leuconostoc species, the common saprophytic bacteria are now emerging as one of the important opportunistic pathogens. There are different risk factors such as compromised immunity, use of vancomycin, parenteral nutrition, and contaminated surgical implanted devices to contribute the human infection.
