<p> </p><p>O presente estudo tem por objetivo investigar as qualidades morais requisitadas à profissão docente no século 16, expressas nos escritos educacionais de Erasmo de Roterdão (1469­-1536), de Michel de Montaigne (1533-1592) e de François Rabelais (1494-1553). Tal perspectiva ética vinculada à docência vem se revelando num fértil campo de investigação que tem por horizonte maior dimensionar a formação de professores. Por conseguinte, trata-se uma averiguação genealógica interessada em compreender a ética docente explicitada em algumas obras educacionais do século 16, não por ela mesma, mas com a perspectiva de buscar nelas os rumores de urna ética docente em vista da contemporaneidade.</p><p class="Estilo">Palavras-chave: ética, docência, renascimento.</p> <p class="Estilo"> </p> <p class="Estilo">Abstract</p> <p class="Estilo">The aim of this present study is to investigate the moral qualities required to the teacher's profession in the sixteenth century, expressed from the educational notes of Erasm Rotterdam (1469-1536), Michel Montaigne (1533-1592) and from François Rabelais (1494-1553). This ethics perspective connected with teaching has been revealing in a fertile investigation field that it has for itself to increase and improve the teacher's formation. Finally, it is a genealogical investigation interested in understand the teacher's ethics presented in some educational books of the sixteenth century, not by itself, but with a perspective to search into the books the rumours of a teacher's ethics by the reason of the present time.</p> <p class="Estilo">Keywords: ethics, teaching, renaissance.</p><p class="Estilo"> </p>
