Summary: | The article describes an experiment in using action research and ethnographic methodology in contemporary teacher education in Poland. The author shares her experience in using these methodologies together with her colleague in the senior year with students of education - future teachers - at the School of Education of the University of Lower Silesia. She points to the ways in which these methodologies help empower future teachers with critical competencies that may lead to the development of autonomous professionalisms in their future practice. She argues that the presented institutional and organizational solutions pave the way for further application of the presented methodologies in Polish teacher education. |
