In the methodology, the bibliographical survey was carried out, carrying out a theoretical discussion of qualitative character through the exploration and confrontation of the theories of researchers dedicated to the study of the writer Francisca Júlia, especially with regard to the poem Musa Impassível I. At first, some notes about the literary aesthetics of which the said poetess was contemporary, such as Parnassianism and Symbolism. Then it was discussed how these these influences are presented in the poem studied. Finally, based on the content discussed, it was concluded that the Parnassian influence resides from the formal aspect of the sonnet - the ideal parnassian ideal - to the thematic aspects of the poem, considering that the sonnet in study approaches concepts and rules for the poetic making itself. On the other hand, the symbolist influence, as in the case of the Parnassian one, can also be evidenced in the sonnet, but with some differences, since the author's approach is not limited to the formal requirements of poetic procedures. Quite the contrary, the poet mixes various themes, such as the faith and story of characters in the biblical narrative. Moreover, in the symbolist construction, the preference for light tones was evident, as one could perceive in the choice of the adjective "candid". In this trajectory, we follow the theoretical orientations of authors such as Almeida (2009), Candido & Castello (2007), among others.
