Summary:Abstract: The focus of this research is the base of students grouping, the type of students grouping, the way of students grouping, the positive and negative effect of students grouping, the problems of students grouping, and the way to resolve this problems. This research uses qualitative approach and use case studiesat SD Negeri Model Kota Malang. The result shows students grouping at this school uses the achievement, the characteristic, and the interest of students. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kulitatif jenis studi kasus, dengan lokasi penelitian di SD Negeri Model Kota Malang. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan pengelompokan peserta didik di sekolah itu menggunakan jenis prestasi, karakteristik, dan bakat minat peserta didik. Kata kunci: Pengelompokan, Peserta didik, SD Negeri
