Knowledge, understanding, attitudes, willingness, and the value orientation of the physical education teachers will determine the success of the implementation of the curriculum. This study aimed to find out how the teacher's backgrounds (teaching experiences, workload, experiences in sports, and level of education of PE teachers) affect the tendency of value orientation of PE teachers. The study gave the instrument of Value Orientation Inventory to 30 PE. The results show that teachers', backgrounds have significant effect, except teachers' experiences in sports, on the tendency of value orientation.   Kecenderungan Nilai Rujukan Guru Pendidikan Jasmani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latar belakang pendidikan, masa kerja, beban kerja, kiprah keolahragaan terhadap kecenderungan nilai rujukan guru pendidikan jasmani. Penelitian menggunakan metode korelasional terhadap 30 guru pendidikan jasmani SD di Kota Bandung yang diambil secara purposive dan meng­gunakan instrumen Value Orientation Inventory. Secara umum hasilnya dapat dinyatakan bahwa latar belakang guru berpengaruh terhadap nilai rujukan guru pendidikan jasmani. Hanya satu dari semua (tujuh) variabel tersebut, yaitu variabel pengalaman sebagai pelaku olahraga prestasi tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap nilai rujukan guru pendidikan jasmani.
